Why should I join the Chicago Clown Corps?
An exclusive opportunity.
Not many people can say they are the first. The founders. The people that made something big out of something small. You can say that you were part of something that took a life of its own.
Take a look at Detroit’s Distringuished Clown Corps. What started as a small group turned in an annual tradition that kept the parade going on through troubled times. Over 2,000 people have helped support this community celebration, and had a lot of fun in the process. What made it successful? Those first few.
Be part of the first Chicago Clown Corps. Be part of a new tradition. Be part of the community’s holiday celebration.
Supporting the community
The proceeds from your Chicago Clown Corps membership help to maintain Chicago’s holiday parade. For 77 years, millions of Chicagoans and millions around the country have been entertained by this parade. Whether it was the Field’s Jingle Elf Parade, the State Street Thanksgiving Parade, or the McDonald’s Thanksgiving Parade, we’ve wanted to represent this city as the world class city that it is.
With your help, we can. With economic criseses always seeming to be on the forefront, the Chicago Festival Association needs your help. We are a non-profit 501(c)(4) organization that has also seen economic troubles, and have done our best to keep improving the parade to the best of our abilities. With your help, by becoming a member of the Chicago Clown Corps, we can improve the parade even further. We are Chicago, we want our parade to be better than the rest. You can help us get there.
Teambuilding
There isn’t a better example of a teambuilding opportunity than by having your group participate in the Chicago Clown Corps. You will, together, to help entertain millions. You will, together, experience clown training at the United Center. You will, together, get to see the true clowns in your teammates.
And, don’t forget, your fellow employees will see your team live on TV. Who wouldn’t want to see their company’s top executives dressed up in full clown make-up, on State Street, acting silly?
Making someone smile
That is what the parade is all about, making someone smile. We’ve created millions of smiles. We want to share in the excitement of what we do. Even if you can only make one person smile, it is well worth the time and investment.
