McDonald’s®
Thanksgiving Parade Volunteer Guidelines
- Appropriate language and behavior will be expected
at all time. This is a family event and many children are present. Fighting
and foul language WILL NOT be tolerated. Those volunteers
who do so will be escorted off the premises immediately.
- Volunteers must wear the volunteer hat and
khaki pants at all times for proper identification. (Black pants may
be substituted if you do not own khakis)
- All volunteers should immediately report emergency
situations to the Chicago Police Department or to the nearest Parade
Staff Member.
- Volunteers must be knowledgeable of their position
duties. Should there be a question you cannot answer, direct that person
to your volunteer chairperson or parade Staff Members.
- All volunteers are requested to attend Parade
School on November 10, 2007, which will orientate them on their parade
duties.
- By completing a volunteer application, you understand
that the Chicago Festival Association cannot guarantee first or second
position choices, nor can we guarantee the pairing of friends, family
and co-workers. We will try our best to accommodate requests.
- Volunteers must check-in individually to ensure
all positions are covered. Volunteers will receive a gift bag only if
they physically check-in.
*Gift bag pick up will be in the Volunteer Check In Lot from 10:30am
to 12:00pm
- Those volunteers attending the Thank You Party
must present their admission ticket (to be mailed),
in order to gain entry. No additional friends or family members will
be allowed in unless they too are volunteers and present a ticket.
- Volunteers should correctly refer to the event
as the McDonald's® Thanksgiving Parade.
- The Chicago Festival Association reserves the
right to bar any volunteer who does not adhere to the guidelines from
participating in current and future parades
By filling out an application you are in full
agreement with the
Chicago Festival Association's guidlines provided above.
